Electrical Testing

Testing and inspection is an integral part of electrical installations as it verifies the integrity and safety of works.

The purpose of an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is to ensure an existing installation meets the required IEE wiring regulations BS7671 and Health & Safety at work act.

Insurance companies also require electrical testing be conducted to any business periodically and certificate issued. BS7671 Guidance notes 3, table 3.2 (attach PDF) shows the frequency of the testing depending on the nature of the building or premises.

Most electrical installations suffer damage and deterioration throughout their operational life, which makes Fixed Wire Testing essential in confirming the safe operation of the installation.
